Call for Abstracts
Scope
The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers, industry and governments involved in the development
and deployment of PHEV vehicles, to exchange ideas, present research findings and discuss collaborations.
We invite submissions of research and technical papers , presentations , and posters , including commercial or
experimental applications. Technical contributions are welcomed, but not limited to the following topics:
- Battery storage technologies
- Mathematical modeling of power-trains
- PHEV vehicle designs
- Power supply and effect on utilities
- Sustainable transportation
- Policy and incentives required for PHEV
- Link between PHEV and distributed or intermittent renewable energy
- Ultra capacitors and mechanical fly-wheels
- V2G applications
Submitted contributions will be peer-reviewed on the basis of technical merit, quality, relevance and originality. Papers, presentations and posters will be published in the conference proceedings and be made available online by the Plug-in Highway Network. Deadline for submission of abstracts is June 20,2007.
- Full papers will be due Sept 5 for peer review (by at least two referees) with comments emailed back to authors. Final version of the papers will be due Oct 10 and can be emailed in PDF format to paper@pluginhighway.ca.
- All accepted papers will be given a presentation time of 20 minutes at the conference
- An electronic copy of the presentation in PowerPoint will be due Oct 10 and can be emailed to presentation@pluginhighway.ca
- An electronic copy of the presentation in PowerPoint format will be due Oct 10 and can be emailed to presentation@pluginhighway.ca
- Presentations are to be done in PowerPoint and will be available in the proceeding on on the conference web site
- Presentations will be pre-loaded at the start of the conference
- If you make changes after submitting the presentation, it will be your responsibility to have the file updated before your session at the conference. Conference proceedings may not contain your updated version
- An electronic copy of the posters in PDF format will be due Oct 10 and can be emailed to poster@pluginhighway.ca
- Posters are to be created in PowerPoint on a single slide in color
- All fonts need to be greater than 24 pt with the text visible from a 2 m distance
- Set the PowerPoint slide page to 46 mm by 76 mm in portrait mode
- Print the poster onto a 3 foot wide color printer onto a single sheet in portrait mode
- Posters are to be mounted early Nov 1 in the public forum area at the convention centre and fasteners will be supplied to mount posters
